Property transfer without Will

Postby cherry » May 13th, 2010, 9:13 pm

My paternal grandmother acquired a property from her father. She passed away without making a Will but my aunt (father's sister) got the property registered in her name without our consent. Since my father got no share of the property, who has more rights to make a claim for the property, my father or me as great grandson? What is the procedure?

You can challenge the transfer of the Khata by the father's sister to her name and ask for it to be transferred to the legal heirs of your paternal grandmother.
We are three sisters and our father has property which is not inherited. Since he is an alcoholic, can we save the property by having legal rights in our names? Our mother is alive.
