As an alternate, we hit the Ooty – Mysore highway via Gudalur to reach Bangalore. Our happiest moments as tourists always seem to come when we stumble upon one thing while in pursuit of something else.

After a good drive for 30kms is Naduvattam – the village that welcomes you with the most scenic mist covered Nilgiri hill range. Naduvattam is an untouched, unconquered cozy village where there is a sense of prevailing tranquillity coupled with coolness. Lush greeneray and extremely beautiful sceneray will tempt for a walk to experience it all. The winding roads that runs through the sholas forces deep thoughts about the wild yet so calm nature standing tall before us. Sholas are safely guarded & considered to be one among the protected forest ranges. Not sure how long they would contiue to evade the humans from chopping them. Cutting trees here is an absolute crime. Every tree standing here whispers its gratitude with excellent rainfall and mist - Nature’s reward for allowing them to co-exist with us.
