INGREDIENTS
Semolina (rawa/suji) 1/2 cup
Rice flour 1/2 cup
Green chillies, chopped 5
Onions, chopped 2 medium
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped 2 tablespoons
Ghee, melted 3 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry
METHOD
Mix together all the ingredients except oil, adding very little water to make a stiff dough.
Take a ladleful of dough on the palm of your left hand and flatten it with your right hand.
Similarly make all the vades.
Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep-fry the vades, few at a time, until golden and crisp.
Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot or cold with a chutney of your choice.
